The Kom op tegen Kanker organisation arranged different pelotons to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. These cycle at different speeds, so have different departure and arrival times.

To ensure the event runs safely, the pelotons do not all cycle in the same direction to the afternoon city or back to the host city Mechelen. The pelotons cycling at 24 km/h and 30 km/h ride the course in the clockwise direction. The pelotons cycling at 27 km/h ride the course in the anticlockwise direction to the afternoon city or from the afternoon city back to the host city Mechelen.
