Fluctuating volumes and serial number registration for Hilaire Van der Haeghe

Within this collaboration, Distrilog is responsible for the storage and distribution of, among other things, robotic and ride-on mowers. The goods are carefully prepared in our warehouse and then transported by our distribution vehicles to various delivery addresses. For certain deliveries, a truck-mounted forklift is required, allowing our drivers to safely and efficiently unload heavier or larger shipments at the customer’s site.

A specific challenge within this project is the variation in the number of deliveries. Demand for these products is highly dependent on weather conditions. During sunny periods, volumes can suddenly increase significantly, leading to peaks in both picking and distribution. Thanks to the necessary flexibility, these fluctuations are managed in close cooperation with the client.

The size of the goods also requires a tailored approach. Some crates take up to 1.6 loading meters, whereas a standard Euro pallet accounts for 0.4 loading meters. These larger shipments make handling and transport more complex, but thanks to our experience and adapted logistics processes, everything continues to run efficiently.

In addition, we use serial number registration for this client. Each device has a unique serial number, which is essential for warranty and tracking at the end customer. This means that we cannot simply ship any device. Distrilog ensures that the correct device with the right serial number is always linked to the appropriate order.

After the first quarter, we can proudly conclude that the collaboration is running very smoothly. Thanks to strong coordination between Hilaire Van der Haeghe and Distrilog, we continue to build together on an efficient and reliable logistics chain, so you can enjoy perfectly maintained lawns.
